Offbeat Goa

4 days

Adventure and Outdoors

Goa is called 'party city' for a reason but that's not all it has to offer. It's a place where people can go to escape from busy and stressful city life. The morning begins with a scenic view of the sunrise and the day ends with lovely recollections. Goa is widely known as the land of beaches. The beaches of Goa are known for their aesthetic and picturesque landscapes. But other than the Beaches and the parties, Goa like the rest of India has a very deep-rooted history, huge biodiversity of plants and animals, and several lakes and waterfalls. Our trip to offbeat Goa is one such trip that will take you to places that are very less frequented but are as fascinating as the other highly recommended places. On the first day of the trip, we reach Aldona. Aldona is a village known for producing prominent Goans. We will start by visiting some significant places in Aldona like St. Thomas Church, Corjuem Fort, and Corjuem Bridge. For the evening we will head back to the inn and conclude our first day with dinner. On the second day, we will head out in the morning after having a nice breakfast for the very historic and unique Aravalem rock-cut caves. Then we will arrive at the Aravalem waterfalls and Carambolim Lake. We will conclude the day after some fun in the waters and head back to our stay. The third day of the trip begins with breakfast and a departure to Chorao island. Chorao is a calm island in the Mandovi River, recognized for the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, where travelers spot eagles and purple herons and explore mangrove swamps on kayaks or canoes. We will visit the very sacred Shri Devaki Krishna Temple, Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, Chapel of St. Jerome, and St. Bartholomew's Church. Then we will undertake a fun activity and observe the feni-making process. Feni is a liquor found, produced, and sold only in Goa. Our trip mostly ends here. On the fourth day, we will check out from our hotels and depart back home with a new perspective and fresh memories of a different and lesser-known Goa.
